A long time interest in architectural structure, coupled with a passion for drawing and love of line, directs the focus of my work.
Drawing is the starting point for all of my work, whether the end result is painting, print, sculpture or installation.
The installations lend themselves to hallways, nooks, and spaces with close walls or many angles. These spaces are where the lines can bounce from wall to wall and across the space, literally engulfing the wall and floor planes, and spaces in between.
I start by drawing directly on the walls and floor and continue the drawing into three-dimensions. Viewers interact with each piece by walking through, across and under the installation. I am interested in their response to the changing 'landscape' of the space and reaction to distorted depth perception, experienced from within the installation.

The best way to experience these installations is through personal interaction. This video was taken to preserve some sense of what it is like to walk through my work in person.
